PODERM® Gel Nail Cap PODERM® Gel Nail Cap for Toenails Damaged by Fungus or Trauma are specially designed to protect and promote the healing of damaged nails. The package contains two caps that protect nails in closed shoes and help nails grow evenly and smoothly. They are available in three sizes and are suitable for big and little toes (see size guide). The product is intended for people with nails damaged by fungus or trauma, as well as athletes who are exposed to repetitive foot injuries. It is also useful for people with deformities of the forefoot such as bunions, hallux extensus or hallux rigidus. The gel caps work by absorbing repetitive micro-impacts, preventing the formation of damaged nails and protecting the nail and nail matrix. They promote healthy and smooth nail growth, which is essential to prevent the spread of fungus on damaged nails. Signs of a damaged nail include a change in the appearance of the nail, degeneration, thickening or deviation of the nail plate, as well as visible damage such as cracks, fractures or blue/black nails.
