The Podobrace system is a Polish invention , registered with the Polish Copyright Office . It is manufactured in Poland and its exclusive distribution is carried out by PODOPHARM LLC .
The product meets all legal and epidemiological requirements for use as a temporary implant in the correction of ingrown nails. The clip is made of implant steel with CE certification and is registered as a medical device .
The subframe has two side arms made of hard steel wire with a diameter of 0.3 mm, 0.4 mm or 0.5 mm , and a connecting element made of softer, more plastic steel wire with a diameter of 0.3 mm, 0.4 mm or 0.5 mm .
The main advantage of the Podobrace system is the possibility to check the effectiveness of the nail relief , its adaptation to the anatomical shape , tension and bending before the final fixation of the connecting element. This significantly simplifies the installation and allows the use of a single set for one procedure . An additional advantage is the ease of installation , as it is not necessary to shorten the clamp arms before adjusting and tightening the connecting element.
